Artist's Description
I'm enjoying creating bird drawings in various mediums. For this drawing I used Derwent Inktense Pencils, I have several friends that are Baltimore Oriole fans so this would be a fun piece to do.
An avid fan suggested I name this piece "Brooks" after Brooks Robinson. Here's a little bit on Mr. Robinson from Wikipedia:
Brooks Calbert Robinson Jr. (born May 18, 1937) is an American former professional baseball player.[1][2] He played his entire 23-year major league career for the Baltimore Orioles (1955–1977).[1] He batted and threw right-handed, though he was a natural left-hander.[3] Nicknamed "The Human Vacuum Cleaner" or "Mr. Hoover",[4] he is considered one of the greatest defensive third basemen in major league history.[5] He won 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards during his career,[6] tied with pitcher Jim Kaat for the second-most all-time for any player at any position. Robinson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.

About Ali Baucom
I have had the innate love of creating art since as far back as I can remember. This passion continued through the years landing me in the National Art Honor Society in high school where I helped organize and bring the Very Special Arts Festival to our county. I then volunteered with the event for 11 years after graduation. I have had artwork hanging in England, Canada, Australia, and in over 7 states in the United States. I have also donated framed artwork and/or merchandise to the Annual...
